A personal note
Words From a Life Lived
These words were not written to sound powerful. They were earned.
They come from victories, failures, sacrifice, betrayal, pain, faith, and the decision to keep moving forward when stopping would have been easier.
Every scar has a name. Every lesson had a cost.
These are not generated words. They are the truth of a life lived.
I am 53 years old, and my path has not been easy.
I did not finish college. I stepped away because my father needed me in the family business. At that point in my life, I was not even sure who I was supposed to become.
But when my opportunity came, I took it.
I built my own company, operated it for more than twenty years, and became a dominant force in my industry.
I know how to compete.
I know how to win.
I know how to build something from nothing.
But success did not make me feel complete.
Then a car crash changed everything.
It changed the way I saw my life and the way I measured success. It made me realize that perhaps I was still here for a reason - that my purpose was bigger than a business, bigger than money, and bigger than anything I had already accomplished.
That realization gave birth to H.I.R.E. - Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Equality.
Those are not merely words to me. They are the values I believe can rebuild people, families, businesses, and communities.
Dedication has defined every chapter of my life.
I coached soccer for ten years and baseball for five. I trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for more than twenty years, and I coached others on the mats. I also stepped into the cage and fought professionally in mixed martial arts.
I know what it means to train when no one is watching.
I know what it means to keep moving when your body is exhausted, your spirit is tested, and the voices around you are telling you to stop.
There is no part of my life where I have willingly given less than one hundred percent.
I have been lied to, deceived, betrayed, and burned to the ground.
But I am still standing.
So, what is in my heart?
My heart is a battlefield - bruised, scarred, and tested by fire.
I carry a dented shield,
not because I have avoided the fight, but because I have lived through it.
I do not pretend that my path has been easy.
I do not pretend that I have all the answers.
But I know what has carried me this far.
Faith.
Faith in God. Faith in purpose. Faith that what has been broken can still be rebuilt. And faith that the hardest chapters of a person's life do not have to become the final chapters.
I am still moving forward.
I can see the light on my path.
And when I get there, it will be glorious.
